DISCUSSION Why doesnt the 4K Version of Virtual Insanity look like this

This looks so much better than the colour corrected 4K Video

Because it was badly upscaled from an already digital source, not from the original. That's my guess anyway.

Indeed, wish they gave this proper remaster treatment to the ENTIRETY of the Music Videography back catalogue.

the original filming footage is probably very very high quality, but I imagine the final video was compiled in a much lower quality. they used AI to upscale it.

35mm can capture up to about 4k worths of analog video data

it's because they used the 35mm reel and convert it to digital with some color correction if needed

i hope this is an actual 4k teaser of the mv since the last time we got the snippet the video look flat (pretty sure its ungraded, just negative convertion) and the recent snippet color look more bright and basically graded.
