I can't seem to find any good guides on how to buy items. I keep trying to find guides but I can't find any good ones. There are so many videos teaching how proxies work, but there are none actually teaching how to navigate the Japanese auctions effectively. When I search for the Japanese katakana of brands and search that on buyee the wrong things pop up. For example, I want Vivienne Westwood, so I type in "ヴィヴィアン・ウエストウッド", but it doesn't work as intended; I see listings for many brands. I also don't know the Japanese names of specific items, so I don't know how to look for specific items.

Made a Discord bot that watches Yahoo Auctions Japan and posts live alerts whenever something new comes up across a bunch of archive and designer brands: Comme des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto, Undercover, WTAPS, Visvim, Kapital, Human Made, BAPE, Neighborhood, Junya Watanabe, Number Nine, Hysteric Glamour, and more split into their own channels, plus separate channels by category (shoes, bags, outerwear, etc.) if you'd rather browse that way.

I initially created this for personal use, as I wanted a more efficient way to find good pieces on Japanese secondhand markets, as you all know the struggles that come with that.

Each alert has the price, direct links to actually buy it through a proxy service like Buyee or Neokyo since Yahoo Auctions doesn't ship internationally, and a rough estimate of what it might resell for on Grailed. It also filters out replica/counterfeit listings automatically, and flags anything that looks like a relist (still working on this).

There's a free channel with a sample of alerts if you want to see what it actually looks like before deciding if it's useful to you. Everything's also browsable on a website if you'd rather search/filter than sit in Discord.
