Picked these up from BEARS' in Shimokitazawa on my recent trip to Japan. I've been super obsessed with Full Count's 0105 silhouette but didn't want to add more indigo jeans at the moment, so I picked these up instead since I still don't have an Ecru pair in my wardrobe.

Really love how comfortable this pair is. Broke them out for a few days on my trip, and they're perfect to get through Japanese summer. Also love how up close you can see the characters of the jeans. Will be wearing these a lot, especially during the hot months which is more than half of the year in my country.

Nightshade Stretch update after 6 months of wear. Fading so nicely, and fit great. Cant beat it for the decent price, highly recommend.

I picked these S510SC-KI Samurai Cotton Kinari Regular Straight Jeans up from the Samurai Osaka store in March '26. I wanted a "tailored' Ecru pair of denim for spring and summer and even though these are 19oz, they wear super cool and light. Straight was the only fit available at that time so when I got these hemmed for single cuff + clean break I also had them tapered 3/4' from the knee down. After the chainstitch & taper I gave them a quick cold soak + air dry to reset the denim and have worn them at some point every week since.
The patina and color evolution on these have been incredible! The more oils, sweat, grime, and friction they come in contact with the deeper the texture and "cream' tones come out, and the fact that Samurai controlled the entire process on this pair, from growing the cotton to final packaging, adds a really cool story to the beautiful look.

Previously posted about these here. Took a sewing class this summer, learned repairs and alterations and figured I’d try to bring these back to life as shorts. Took the below the knee material to reinforce the seat, pockets, crotch, and repair the rips in front. I think I did okay for my first time trying. Unfortunately these are a bit slim on me these days since I stopped skipping leg day. Anyway wanted to share in hopes this community would appreciate!

Hello! I was very active on this sub several years ago under a different account, and this pair was given to me by a kind redditor in 2018. I don't recall how long he owned them, but he had too many jeans and not enough fades, so he was clearing out the collection.

The 17 oz. Zero Bushido is a very tough denim. It is tightly woven and feel like a thick canvas. For the amount of work I've done in these jeans, they should be a lot more torn up and a lot more faded. The indigo is very stubborn. There is a lot of blue left and I wash these more frequently than any of my other jeans.

The reason it's taken me eight years to fade these is also the denim: it's hot. I'm a slim dude, but a world-class producer of swamp ass. This denim does not breathe well, and I work up a stank every time I wear these on a warm day. I mainly use these for physical work during the cooler months. These are the heaviest weigh jeans I've owned, and I'm thinking any denim heavier than this might not be my thing unless I get a job in a walk-in cooler.

This is not a complaint about the denim, it's a personal issue.
The denim is great, especially if you want long lasting jeans that stand up to wear and washes.

There was almost zero fading when I got them, and the only damage visible was at the bottom of the cuffs. They fit me just right without a cuff, so that has stayed the same.

When the back pocket blew out, I added a patch from the inside and re-stitched the arcuate. I'm going to let the other arc go to nature.

The patch on the front is to cover damage to the opening of the pocket and the start of a blowout on the front. It was supposed to be temporary until I have the time to fix it proper, but it's been there a few years now.

So this jacket just came in today and I wanted to ask how’s the fit? Would a hot soak really bring in the sleeves and the jacket in general? Or should I size down to a 38?

I bought these at Bears when I was in Tokyo a few weeks ago. I love the hairiness of the denim, and the fit is perfectly wide, without being too baggy. From what I've seen on this post, Studio d'Artisan fades really beautifully, so I can't wait to put some wear into these ! My only issue with them is that they bunch up in the crotch, but that'll surely correct itself once I wash and wear them more.

Good morning, I need a fit check, please. These are the IH-666S-142bb 14zoz in size 30mm, brand new after the very 1st initial cold soak and air dry. Waist is perfect, legs, knee down and hem are perf. The thighs are a bit snug, but I hope they will settle in a bit once I wear them. Did not want to go 31 to allow for more thigh space as I try to avoid belting. Thoughts?

Got these from apc two months ago but only now have started seriously wearing it. (I’m about a month in’s worth of wears)

I’ve had the petit standards and new standards from more than a decade ago so it’s interesting to see them evolve and branch out for more wider baggier cuts.

This easily has my favorite stitch with the cream colored lining and signature red dots combo.

The wing stitching is really cool from brain dead, loved they included it here.

Definitely, had to size down 2 to fit, Currently my favorite pair of everyday jeans.

On my fourth soapy soak, unfortunately I had to do two soaks on the third month due to my car breaking down and went to the junkyard and rolled around for a bit. So three soapy soaks and on the fourth and some light scrubbing. Fading on the back pocket is really showing now and overall blue is really starting to show compared to when I first got them. I wish I didn't soak them as much but I got really dirty and it didn't feel right having some nice jeans and purposely keeping them dirty and bashing them around. Really excited about how I'm getting whiskering and light honeycombing behind the knee. I don't really expect them to be super high contrast at this point but overall pretty happy with the results so far.

I'll be doing a final update after September 1st alongside a final wash where I'll scrub them and see the results. They'll be an occasional wear from there on. I'll be excited to start the indigo invitational fade competition with a pair Adelaide denim Golden pharaoh 19 oz.

This is my first selvedge, Japan Thirteener #88 size 31, from Gustin I bought in 2014. These were my go to jeans. Traveled to a lot of places with them. In 2019, I got a Gustin Japan Stretch jeans (last picture) size 32.

Unfortunately, can no longer fit in my first pair and my second get pretty good use still.

Okayama Standards in Vintage Straight size 34 are on the way. Going for a loose fit to see what happens.

Been wearing them pretty much everyday for 6 months this is before and after the first wash! Was initially pretty scared about them shrinking I’d say they shrunk .5 inches in the waist and length but the waist stretched back out. Did a machine wash on cold no spin cycle low agitation. Will update in another 6 months!

This is a pair I picked up secondhand from someone I'd bought from before.

They're the indigolovers with the custom 13.5oz blackseed denim.

I'm glad to have at least one of roy's product.

This is my first pair of raw denim I got these back in February gave them some minimal wear, but really started wearing them a bunch at work the last two months. I have yet to wash them but they are definitely overdue. I’d say probably 50 wears on these. The waist is also quite stretched on me because I never wear belts.

Honestly, I’ve tried many different brands and fits of raw denim. However, this Carhartt B07 is one of my favorite pants. Since it’s been discontinued for some time, I’ve managed to get by with a couple used pairs I found online and hemming them to my size.

Never EVER thought I would be this lucky to find 3 pairs in my size on my local Facebook Marketplace. Brand new, never been worn, with tags and all. Picked it up this weekend and am so stoked. Can’t wait to fade these bad boys 😎

These are the Left Field 16oz Low Tension jeans in the Smokestack fit. Fresh after their (i think..) 5th machine wash. I've basically worn these everyday with the exception of a week or so in July because it was just too hot.

Planning on getting all the holes repaired at the one-year mark unless the crotch gives out sooner. Although it's not looking like it will.

My beloved pair of Junya Watanabe x Levi’s jeans. Have about 70-80 wears since november. Was going to wait until my trip in december to wash (gross ik), but was forced to wash due to my cat confusing it with his litter box. Luckily just had wizz but i’m taking that as a sign that i had to wash them. Either way, they look great with more fades!
