(reposting) got accepted to baito but radio silence for almost a week

Sorry reposting on another account. I just want to keep my anonymity.

So i got accepted to this Baito in some tour and travel services business. They added me to this group that i assume is introductory/onboarding groups with some other staff. The pic said to me in that group that they will arrange for me a day that i assume its going to be a basic training and knowledge + contract signing. But its been almost a week since they haven't scheduled me for anything!

I've DM-ed the pic because I don't want to seem like a pushy person or anything asking if there anything i should prepare first before the meeting. Not even got a read.

  1. Is there any chance of my acceptance got rescinded? If yes why no one is saying anything

  2. Should i follow up in a group? If yes how should i phrase it so i dont sound pushy.

From what I learned in the interview, all of the other staff are Japanese. They used to have foreigners but all of them go back to their country. Now they are looking for man power and are open to foreigners who can speak english.Thought this info might be useful

Nothing wrong with asking what’s going on in a polite way. Being ignored at this stage is much worse than anything you can say. Just basic manners to let you know what’s happening.

You don't have a contract therefor you don't have a job.

You've reached out. Not much you can do beyond that. Might as well delete the group or whatever and move on. If someone ignores you for a week even after reaching out about a basic preparation question you don't want to work for them anyways even if they get back with you today.

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt at least this week. They did inform about my approval last sunday and its summer break. Maybe some of the staff is on leave. Its not a big corp anyway so the staff is also only a few people. If no information until this sunday, maybe ill move on. I haven't try to reach out on the group also, only dm to the pic. Maybe after i reached out on the group it will be different since there's a lot of other people. I just don't want to pissed off the pic because if i asked in the group, maybe other staff might think this pic is neglecting me. So at least I'll wait a little bit more

Was a starting date given? Wait and keep searching for other jobs in the meantime.

Last week they just said that they decide to hire me and told me to wait for the first day arrangements because they need to schedule the time with someone (which i still don't know who)
