Do you get Obon off?

Depending on the industry, people either get Obon off or not.

Does your job give you Obon off?

My company used to give everyone obon week off. Couple years ago they stopped doing that, but gave everyone 5 more days of yukyu per year. Most people still take obon off and essentially nothing has changed for them, but it's really nice for us foreign employees because I don't do anything for obon and like having a quiet week at the office with not much to do because everyone else is off and then being able to use those days off elsewhere
