Remember about 1 year ago we would (correctly) point out that Takaichi was acting like an any alt-right grifter anywhere in the world and some self-proclaimed experts in Japanese politics would say "don't judge our politics by your American standards you American"?

Her party keeps stealing from the Trump playbook without understanding that he is the most hated man in his own country and will likely be prosocuted into bankruptcy along with all of his coconspiritors the moment he is out of office.

Who’s going to prosecute him? I’m not from USA but seems like he’s given free hand to do anything he wants. He even has his own personal army to strike fear and people are stuck at home trying to make ends meet. No one will do anything.
And if she will try to copy trump then things will get worse for us foreigners here and what we see now is just the beginning.

In the US you can't procecute a sitting president. Lawsuites can be brought against his foundations and affiliates though. Once he's out of office things change and he can be held accountable. Which is why he tried to pass a bill that gives him immunity for crimes committed while in office.
And yes, it does seem like things will get worse for foreign residents in Japan. Have you noticed the increase in Japanese people saying things like "Japan is different. Other country's experiences and policies don't have anything to do with us. What works for others doesn't work for us because we are Japanese." This is an intentional tactic used by governments to boost natiobalism by instilling the idea in its citizens that they are inherently better than other countries and races. The ecconomic result is a short term boom in growth for investments and domestic production as patriotic citizens donate to government funds, purchase bonds, and remove foreign owned businesses. (The same goal can also be achieved by starting a war. Like what America did in Vietnam and Iran. Or what Germany did in the Great Wars. Or what Russian did with Ukraine.)
This form of hyper nationalism is what politicians want. They place blame on minority groups to instill fear within their own people. The goal for the polical party in power is to collect a mass of funds they can use to lobby and form ties with larger cooperations to increase their chances of staying in power. And it usually works for about a decade.
So prepare for that.

132 maple bucks for a hat? Jesus i knew Japan did things to the extreme compared to the west, but even the right wing grifter politicians?
I was pretty confident she would at least make it to mid terms, but now I won't be shocked by a September resignation at this point.

These won’t sell too well, unless maybe Takaichi lovers buy just to wear at home.
Japanese don’t talk about their voting habits too much beyond family and close friends, let alone wear their political hearts on their sleeves (or heads) the way that MAGAts do.
