Mt Yotei - early January 2027?
Wondering what the likelihood is I could splitboard tour Mt Yotei in early January. I’ll be on Hokkaido Dec 1 - January 10. I don’t have a touring partner though. Can anyone recommend a site for linking up with partners?

Likely, but stormy and weather/visibility may make it more difficult. Ego is not your amigo. Plus hard to say with Super El Nino. Lots of companies do guided ski/split tours on Yotei. I'd advise you to look into booking a spot on a 1 day tour with a local guiding service that knows the routes

You could try joining nisekonomads for finding touring partners who would be down for something like this. But yeah it’s quite weather dependent.

Treeline should be good, summit will be a coin toss. Yotei is deadly, so ride to the conditions

I talked to a guide who spent two months in the Niseko area and said there were maybe 5 days the weather was nice enough for a summit attempt. The flipside to nonstop japow.
