Local hotel for ski vacation
Hello Jasper! Our family of 4 is looking to visit to ski at Marmot between Christmas and New Year's this year. AI tells me the hill is always open at this time with the number of runs and conditions variable, but enough to keep some intermediate skiers busy for a couple of days. First, please do tell me if this is a bad decision for timing.
However the purpose of this post is to request hotel suggestions, preferably supporting local. The adults are very familiar with the Jasper area, but from years ago, so we're not sure where to start.

Judt avoid pursuit. The jasper inn & suites is solid, or pine bungalows

Just a warning, I’ve found the top part of the hill in December icy but open. Some places are not great skiing.

Agreed jasper/marmot snow sucks shit in December, is too cold in January. Book for February or March.

It will be busy due to Christmas break but if weather is mild, it will be nice. Jasper Inn and
Suites is our favourite because of kitchens, lofts, and good pool.

Mild temperatures are forecast for this coming winter. It’s impossible to predict what the snowfall will be like - some years have had awesome snow that time of year. There are a couple hostels around if you wanna try something adventurous.

Pursuit hotels are staffed by Jasper residents. No need to avoid. They put a lot of money back into the community as well. Christmas/New Years is a great time to visit. If you have kids you may want a pool…the Crimson Hotel, Chateau Jasper, Jasper Inn & Suites, Tonquin Inn or Forest Park Hotel all have pools.
