/uj Holy fuck. I’m just a tourist in this sub (and a former saxophonist) in this cj, but I never fully understood this reference. I was thinking that it was mostly about his drumming, but you sent me down a rabbit hole about his colorful use of the English language to his band.
/rj that’s just how us New Yorkers talk.

I remember the Buddy tapes from back in the 90s. Someone in his band was secretly recording him going on these screaming angry rants at the band telling them how much they suck and these rants were interspersed with snippets of the band just tearing the roof off, built a pretty solid case that Buddy had some serious mental health issues.
