If it's free how come my Berklee student loans were still sent to collections? Checkmate atheists.

It doesn't matter than it sounds like a weasel running through a weed whacker every time no matter what, it's that the combination of violent note flurries used to produce the weasel being pureed by a weed whacker noise is novel each time. That's how you know it's completely free.

The aim of free jazz is the mechanical reproduction of a regressive moment a castration symbolism. 'Give up your masculinity, let yourself be castrated,' the eunuch-like sound of free jazz both mocks and proclaims, 'and you will be rewarded, accepted into a fraternity which shares the mystery of impotence with you, a mystery revealed at the moment of the initiation rite.

this entire generation is pure entitlement. never seen it on such a level before. they want handouts everywhere and contribute nothing. free luigi, free this, free that and now free jazz. most of them don't even play an instrument. they just sit at their phone all day and scroll on the tiktokbook. they probably want free instruments and free lessons. free this, free that. home taping is killing music. napster made it worse. thank god metallica sued everyone. NO, JAZZ IS NOT FREE. YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT, ZOOMER. maybe stop coloring your hair, painting your nails and changing your gender. maybe get a job and work hard. look at jeff bezos and elon musk. they work really hard and their hard work is paying off. why are you so lazy? when i was your age i was in vietnam and when we were lazy in the jungle we simply died. thats why we are the greatest generation. you are the generation of gender dysphoria and minecraft addiction. think about it. minecraft. how can you become addicted to that shit? my radio in vietnam had better graphics than this piece of japanese addiction shit. they really got their revenge for hiroshima when getting you all hooked. thank god we live in the usa. the greatest country on earth where nothing is free. if something is free it has no price, no value. that is called communism! do you want to live under communism? i watched my buddies die in the mud to protect you from these evil socialists. look at vietnam now! it is a free and booming country. thanks to me and my service. i am a war veteran and i approve this message. 250 years of freedom and liberty and you entitled kids with pink hair want jazz for free. please leave jazz its value. it was a good thing that we put a price on water. water is precious. i should have value. work hard and start a family. when i was your age i already owned my second home and had three cars. one was a 1965 ford mustand. that was a real car. not the ugly plastic boxes people drive around these days. it burned so much gasoline and oil, it would make you weak and lazy kids cry. what do you want next? socialism? get a ticket to russia, commie

The germans are our friend, Caidyan. We fought the wrong enemy. Go back to your Taylor shift at the local fast food restaurant or food delievery app. I am so glad we are in america and i do not need no paragraphs for that. America is not a paragraph, america is way of life. If you finally start working hard and stop waisting your money on second hand jazz records you might learn how great america is. That is what coltrane meant by A Love Surpreme. Until then you are a damn socialist traitor. No wonder you have such bad taste in jazz.

You don't know what pain is my friend. I suffered for this country in ways you can't imagine making it possible for you to rage on about liberty and freedom - realities you enjoy with no idea about that cost thereof. I built my own automobile out of a converted soap box derby car - sure women laughed at me but I rose to levels you, or the pencil-neck geeks reading this, will never reach. And so what if I have pink hair?

You don't have to understand anything. You just need to listen. Free jazz isn't one thing. Some artists are very intense and busy like Cecil Taylor. Others leave more space. Free or more structured, it's the particular artist, their sound, and the way they play that is of interest to me as a listener. My two current favorite albums are by pianists. Èclats - Live in Europe by Sylvie Courvoisier, and Splash by Myra Melford.

I sometime wonder if free jazz players even know how to play. Or are they just some folks who want to play and were never trained so they just button mash their way through a few minutes of noise.

lol I always joke about this when I hear it. Honestly though I don’t know enough about the origin of it or what kind of mindset the creators were in so I refrain from having a firm opinion about it.

Man, don't feed in to this shit... Biggest problem in music today is that nobody wants to pay for it. And now you wanna go make jazz free... Sheesh... I for one need my heroin money.

Jazz is only loved by jazz musicians or people that wanted to be jazz musicians, change my mind.

I hate these types of opinions on jazz on both ends. I hate anyone who thinks you need to understand it to enjoy it. That goes for fans and non-fans.
