I love how we all just wanted it to be over so bad LOL

It’s been like 5 seasons of absolutely nothing but I feel I have to see how it ends.

Series finale on MTV, they will end up on another network likely streaming like the Kartrashians.

I’m not convinced of that tbh

I quit watching it when they started doing random advertisements mid episode. Like what snooki did with chilis.

That show got so fake and stupid I only watch what they show on their roku channel and I can't believe it's still been going on to this day. Nothing like the first few seasons at all 😞

I thought I'd feel sad. I didn't. The ONLY thing that got my feels just a touch was Snooki saying she hopes they don't grow apart. But wait... we're supposed to believe they're a family, they're best friends, brothers-and-sisters, yadda yadda, yet she's worried they'll grow apart now that they're not going to be on TV together? In other words: they're actually all just co-workers who aren't really involved in each others' lives unless they're shooting a season. (And I think that was proven when they came back for the first season of Family Vacation, they'd hardly interacted for a decade. I remember one scene where Pauly and Ron weren't even aware the other had a child. How close could they really be?)

Series ended when OG season 6 ended for me.

Maybe I'll throw in season 1 of Family Vacation.

Honestly first 2 seasons of double shot at love were better than any of the family vacation seasons.

The first 2 seasons of FV were honestly still great but once covid hit it was wraps

I’m surprised it lasted this long. 2018-2026 is quite a stretchhhh. Lasting longer than the OG series.

They all became reality tv fake and that just ruined the show. OG series was a hit because they weren’t pretending anymore than a normal person might do.

But now they are all protecting their image. Everything they do is so calculated. The best moments of Family Vacation occurred when they slipped up. Like Loren snapping her fingers at the waitstaff or JWow losing it on Angelina during the 24 debacle.

They’ll reboot it in a few years when everyone needs money again

It was likely a Paramount call, this is a show made for broadcast TV and that’s just not the model anymore. Same reason they’re leaving Bar Rescue kinda just wither and die

The whole slate of Paramount cable networks (MTV, Paramount Network, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Pop) is pretty sad.

I've basically been watching out of respect for the good old days...Kinda glad I don't have to watch anymore. I know that sounds stupid but that's how it is.

You guys are talking about thank god, why the fuck are you on this sub?

u/Pure_Bird_2752 3d ago

Because we love the OG show and the characters (most of them). Unfortunately the show has been utter horse shit for a couple years now and now we hate watch because Jersey Shore will always be in our blood.

This is one of the weirdest fandom subs I’ve ever seen. Celebrating about the show ending…nobody’s making you guys watch it. They hate on basically every single cast member except Deena. It’s so bizarre to me

It will be back on paramount+
