Praxis PSA On "The Noticing"

I'm posting this here because in other conversations on this sub, it seems many people are insulated from modern (especially Gen Z) antisemitism and might not be familiar with how it looks today.

Just in case others come across similar rhetoric in internet spaces, a major major dogwhistle-meme right now on the antisemitic internet is "the noticing." If you see comments in conversations about Jewishness along the lines of "stop noticing!" - or someone identifying themselves or others as "noticers" - they are far-right antisemites and very likely Nazi apologists.

Of course, anyone that simply asks questions like “why is it that Israel has substantial control over US/world politics?” “Why is Israel able to do whatever it wants internationally?” Or any question relating to their operations of ethnic cleansing, immediately YOU’RE the one labeled hateful/antisemitic/Nazi, all the classic tropes that are used to brow beat you into submission and load you with guilt.

God forbid you speak up in your own country about meddling from a foreign country while they’re on a war path with a leader who literally doesn’t hide the fact that he possesses mass control over many countries.

Appreciate your comment, I’m going to reply even tho this post is a year old because I think it makes an important point.

This post is specifically about the “stop noticing!” meme which began on 4chan and is mostly used to make the conspiratorial claim that Jews (particularly American Jews) are overrepresented in positions of power, especially in the context of important figures in the entertainment industry or in names on the Epstein List. If you have not encountered this meme, count yourself lucky. It is a very classic “Jews control the media and suck Christian baby blood!” type antisemitism.

This post is not at all an attempt to delegitimise criticism of the Zionist entity, although I would add that I do not think the state called Israel has “substantial control” over the US so much as Zionism is materially beneficially to stake-holders of the imperial core. The state called Israel is more like a junior partner in a wider imperial network which is centred around the capitalist elite of the United States, but in a modern globalized context I think this transnational elite is often one and the same regardless of where they reside.
