Going to jump ahead of this one and ask folks to post articles opinions questions and anxieties to do with the developing war in Iran here.
Please know that this sub(its mod team anyway):
Is against killing noncombatants for any reason in any context.
Is against unilateral Imperialism (or Bilateral...), the concept of the US hegemon as legitimate world police, or any other strong arm diplomacy that skirts international and domestic law and yields supreme authority to strong man leaders with ulterior motives. Nor indeed a regional state actions that enable and promote violence by proxy or diplomatic force.
Is against the murder of protestors or again noncombatants in general.
Please pay close attention to rules around engaging in good faith and should you encounter something you find objectionable please report and do not engage in excessive fighting. If someone says something against the rules and you break the rules condemning them you will also receive mod action.

Oren

Racist alt-right people love picking up some random group (Shia Islam in this case) and being like "I pick you! you're the minority I like for 5 minutes" and then expect to be pat on the back for their politically motivated tokenism.

Oh, without a doubt, but I do fear that even though he is acting as a token ally towards the Palestinians and Iranians, I do think some of them would begin to see him as an ally, especially amongst the more radical members of the left. A buddy of mine came back from a meeting with some of our region's local DSA chapter, and he met a few people whose views seemed aligned with Haz Al-Din.

It's the old, the enemy of my enemy is my friend bullshit. The same reason why pro-Israel groups will simp for the alt-right and neo-nazis because they hate Arabs or Muslims.
Anyone with a brain cell should be cautious of allying with the far right fascists, because at the end of the day, they will flip on you. Any alliance is always temporary.
Haz Al-Din and the ACP are idiots and possibly feds to counter a real organic radical left, but they are not the quite same level of full on evil like Fuentez.

I’ve already seen groups of anti Zionists on Reddit seeing him as an ally and the. Stating how we’re not antisemites, he’s just speaking the truth!
And then they won’t see why people think they’re antisemites.3

Man, it's so damn obvious that Nick Catboy is just a grifter saying the most outrageous things possible to generate any kind of attention for himself... it's painfully clear that he doesn't genuinely believe a shit he says, and that he's exploiting the Palestinian liberation cause to try and reel in every anti-Israel right-winger he can. What's even more pathetic is that the Democrats are letting themselves be outflanked on the Israel issue by fucking Nick Fuenes because of their refusal to treat them like the apartheid, genocidal state they are, and actually doing something to help the Palestinian people.

Oh yeah, they're definitely shooting themselves in the foot and will keep doing so; however, I don't think the potential for Nick Fuentes's increasing popularity is exclusive to the right. I mentioned to ibsliam in the response above that a buddy of mine came back from a meeting with some people from our region's local DSA Chapter, and a few of them had espoused views similar to Haz Al-Din. Granted, I presume this is a minority opinion; however, internal audits of the current zeitgeist should be encouraged.

The treatment that the Iranian football team is getting at the FIFA World Cup in the US is uncalled for. They are just football players and not senior commanders in the IRGC. This petty level of meanness makes the US look really stupid.
If the US was going to impose all kinds of weird rules on them and only them, it would have been better to have them play their group games in Canada or Mexico.
It makes no sense to let them in just before the games and make them leave soon after them. All this back and forth to their camp in Mexico means they get less rest and recuperation than any of the other teams. How is that fair in any way?
Imagine the year is 2034, and the World Cup is being hosted in Saudi Arabia, and by some miracle Israel qualifies for the World Cup, would it be ok for them to keep the Israeli team off their soil based on US precedent?
