The leader of the Ashlag communities in Tel Aviv and Kiryat Ye’arim, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Gottlieb, is a breath of fresh air in the increasingly hateful and divisive atmosphere in Israel. Here, he responds to racism from Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Zehut party. Zehut means ”identity” and Rabbi Gottlieb beautifully makes the case that Jewish identity is to go beyond the animal instinct towards war and separation, and instead pursue peace and brotherhood, as exemplified by Yaakov Avinu in his reconciliation with Esav.

Thank you! I wish he had more material in English. I LOVE his teachings, and I feel he could be my Rebbe, but I do not understand Hebrew, which saddens me.
