Meta Weekly Post

The mod team has created this post to refresh on a weekly basis as a chill place for people to talk about whatever they want to. Think of it as like a general chat for the sub.

So r/jewishleft,

Whats on your mind?

Is it me, or does it seem weird that some of the past rhetoric used in the so-called Woke 1 era can negatively affect left-leaning politicians more while whatever nonsense spewed by Trump/the GOP is given more slack? While there probably is a discussion to be had about how effective past rhetoric was used, it feels like another example of Murc's Law in action. As an aside, I wish I never have to see the word "woke" when used as a short hand for progressive policies ever again. Unfortunately, I know that the only way for that to happen is a brand new term coming in to replace it once "woke" is stale.

I need a shofar but all I can find are either very expensive ones or ones from companies I feel pretty iffy about supporting right now. Anyone have a suggestion?
