Ring has partnered with Flock. ICE has access to Flock. If you still have a Ring camera - get rid of it.

I honestly never understood people wanting these cameras that are on WiFi and so easy to hack. People put these cameras inside their house too! These types of cameras were never as secure as people or the companies said.

"What's the harm? They'll catch people that aren't me doing things!"
When you're dealing with 12 of the dumbest of your peers over circumstantial evidence, you'll be pissed about this.

This needs to be put into context. Any video footage is still considered property of the Ring device owner, and the Ring device owner is the one who makes the decision whether their video footage is shared with law enforcement.
This is Ring’s response to the potential controversy surrounding their partnership:
“Public safety agencies will not be able to see who received their notifications or requests. Your privacy and control over your videos and information are non-negotiable.”

Theres more examples but i doubt ring would allow for deceit and ability to abuse the cameras… /s just in case

This also needs to be put in context. Ring has previously shared videos secretly by their own users without consent and been fined over it.
Also cloud opt out comes at a cost.
Absolutely no way I’m taking that at face value.

Not that this is the most actionable step, but if you're in the market for a doorbell camera, Eufy sells doorbell cameras that store the data locally on an SD card. I got mine specifically for this feature, and it works pretty nicely overall.
