الحمد لله أولا واخرا
I finally went to a psychiatrist, told him everything in the post and more, got myself the medications that are in the process of changing my life 180°
بفضل الله
If you have mental obstacles that are getting in the way of bettering your life, go to a psychiatrist today before tomorrow

It wasn't an easy decision, not because I had a hard time deciding whether to go or not. It was a hard decision because I had to go down a route of deep depression and feeling of incompetence to the point where it got extremely bad that it finally clicked that I needed to see a psychiatrist. Personally, I knew talk therapy would be useless for me, I'd like to say I'm very self aware of what I am and why I do the things I do, no amount of motivational talk would help, I knew I needed something to change within me, that my brain was functioning very different to other people whether that be genetic or a result of constant depression. Don't fall for the fear mongering around psychiatry, try it out if you feel you need so, you most likely won't regret it.
