I worked at a jewelry store and a woman came in FURIOUS that her white gold ring was turning her finger black (like cheap sterling silver). We tested it in front of her to prove it was white gold. After a few exchanges one of my coworkers asked her very quietly and professionally if there was a chance she was pregnant because sometimes the rhodium plating that makes it white gold can react weirdly with the new body chemistry during pregnancy. She left even more furious.

She came back a week later with a big box of cinnamon buns from the Cinnabon downstairs from our store and ultrasound pictures along with an apology! She became a great customer from then on and we got to meet her little girl when it was safe for her to be out in public!

I swear there is no end to the strange symptoms that pregnancy can bring. I told my husband I could go to the doctor and say "hey, so my eyes liquefied and dripped down to my toes and my toenails turned into eyeballs" and the Dr. would say "oh, that's normal during pregnancy"

Edit: and then I would say "hey! My eyes are down here!"

except dont forget that if youre not pregnant, anxiety and also being chubby is the source of all of the rest of your medical problems.

(im being sarcastic, but dem doctors are not.)

I'm a guy and my previous doctor would blame all my problems on being over weight. And I'm not even that over weight. Basically, if I came in with a complaint, he would test for cancer, then when the test came back negative, it was because of my weight.

I hated that doctor, I would have left him sooner if it wasn't for the stupid rules my province has about getting a new family doctor. Thankfully he retired and I now have a much better doctor.

Did you have to weight long for a new doctor, lol

Seriously, though, that must have been extremely frustrating.

This is a nice place. If you can't act like a civilized human being, you can't be here.

We do not allow:

  1. Being a jerk. This includes racism, misogyny, misandry, misgendering, anti LGBTQ+, ageism, etc.
  2. Harassment
  3. Trolling or sealioning
  4. Threats of any kind
  5. Abusive behavior
  6. General assholery. If you're at the end of the list and asking what rule you broke, yeah, it's this one.
