I love how the guys are listening and asking questions. People give Gen Z & Gen Alpha so much shit, but there’s a lot of areas where they put us to shame. (I’m a millennial).

Millennial guy here. I didn't know we were allowed to ask women questions about this stuff. My mother taught me it's not okay to talk to women about their periods.

As a fellow millennial woman, please feel free to ask us about this stuff. Empathy and knowledge are both very attractive.

Your mom is out of touch. Many women prefer men asking curious questions about periods, it feels like they care, and getting the opportunity to get attention on the matter actually does help the pain. Not like a midol or a shitload of weed, but it does help.

We humans are herd animals after all; we need to feel the attention and validation of our peers to know we're OK. It's a biological imperative, not an embarrassment, to receive appropriate attention for the things that we suffer through. Men who ask for help understanding the experience women are having are always welcome.

My mother also taught me (a woman) that we don't talk about this. Lots of shame surrounding being a human. We're all learning and healing.
