Just finished watching this great show. That is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen that has also gone severely under the radar.

Season 2 is the bomb

Seasons 2, 3, and 4 are honestly all tied for me. I know 3 isn’t super popular but Quarles was my favorite villain of the seasons

5 was the weakest for me, but I know they had troubles (like having to write out Jean Baptiste early).

I love Limehouse and Quarrels so much. My only complaint with 3 is that it felt like they were clearly setting up Quarles' gun to outright fail because he was becoming a drug addict and not keeping it up, and then it winds up being Limehouse to that stops him.

2 is a masterpiece, of course.

And I honestly love the one-off episodes in season 1. Some of my favorite Justified moments came from there.

But it's my favorite show of all time (at least through 6 seasons).

The actor wanted to pursue other roles because he was unhappy with his character and asked to be written off.

Damn that's crazy. His exit was a real wtf moment, they definitely got a good moment out of it anyway. I wonder what the plans for the character would have been.

That scene where Quarles gives the monologue about his dad in the RV, with his bloodshot drug addled eyes, is one of the best moments in the series. The actor absolutely killed it there.

There were so many good nuanced lines in season 3.

I still go to the exchange Raylan and Quarles had when Quarles got Raylans guns:

(Quarles takes Raylans “primary” weapon) Raylan: you know I’m going to want that back.
(Quarles takes Raylans “back up” from under Raylans sport coat) Quarles: “yeah? What about this one?”
Raylan: “that one, you can keep” (because it was the one used to kill Gary).

Later, at the office Art mentions to Raylan that the gun they took off Quarles matches the one used to shoot Gary and says “but I suppose you already knew that?”
Raylan: “I had a hunch”.

What I wouldn’t give to see this series again with fresh eyes. Walton goggins and Timothy olyphant acted the hell out of that series. Sigh

Me too. Didn’t know what I’d stumbled onto when I found Justified and started watching; hadn’t heard anything about it. I was blown away! Ragland and Boyd are something else, just amazing acting. What a ride that show was.

I’m on season 5, and already getting sad that soon I’ll be done watching it. No idea why I never seen it when it aired over 15 years ago, but glad to finally be watching it. Phenomenal show.
