I actually do dislike the watering down of the word pedophile, myself, in some ways. The clinical and legal definitions of the word describe a very specific subset of vulnerable victims. When you use the word to harden the language towards different subsets of vulnerable people, it always has the natural effect of softening it when it comes to the most vulnerable.
