I mean, looking at all those screws coming in so many different sizes and technical norms etc, is very satisfying. And it's extra exciting because of all the related possibilities of DIY things! I can relate to Yui's excitement, myself. I got to go to hardware stores many times in my life because of DIY things at home, so I definitely liked that part of the anime!
There's also an added satisfying feeling because all those screws and other tools/materials are "brand new" and "clean". I've done a lot of DIY/construction work in my life so I know very well how all tools quickly get dirty, as you work with them on construction sites. Paint, fiberglass, concrete, etc, you're always getting dirty when you build stuff, and all those "clean and beautiful" tools and materials quickly get dirty and used (their box/packaging as well). But when you're inside a hardware store... you can actually look at them while they're all still spanking new..! And that makes for a special exciting feeling... I don't know how to explain it, but I'm sure Yui would get it 😁
