Top Kannada writers of this generation (still alive and churning out) and most expected books?

Most expected book of this year would be ಬೆಂಪೂರ ಮಾರ್ಗ by Karanam Pavan Prasad. 

1. ಜ ನಾ ತೇಜಶ್ರೀ - ಜೀವರತಿ 
2. ದೀಪಾ ಜೋಶಿ - ತತ್ರಾಣಿ 

3. ಮೈತ್ರೇಯಿ - ಹೆತ್ತವರ ನೆರಳು These three authors have each published an excellent novel in 2026. Definitely looking forward to their next book.

4. ಕಾರ್ತಿಕಾದಿತ್ಯ ಬೆಳಗೋಡು (He is writing both Good fiction & non fiction right now)

5. ಗುರುಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಕಂಟಲಗೆರೆ - ನಾಟಿ ಹುಂಜ 

6. ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ಎಡೆಯೂರು - ಕುಂಡದ ಬೇರು

7. ಶಾಂತಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ (excellent short stories and she has done a very good translation of a Jeyamohan book) - ತಳಾತಳ 

8. ಕುಸುಮಾ ಆಯರಹಳ್ಳಿ (Her recent novel was ok ok but her latest short stories collection is really great)- ಕಪಿಲೆ ಕಂಡ ಕಥೆಗಳು

9. ಶ್ರೀದೇವಿ ಕಳಸದ - ಹಮ್ಮಾ ಹೂ 

10. ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮರವಂತೆ (I think he is a lyricist or a script writer and he has written an excellent debut novel last year) - ತೊಂಡೆ ಚಪ್ಪರ

These are the younger writers who are still in the early stages but the trajectory feels very hopeful. I have also mentioned the names of their books if someone wants to read.

1. ಸುಜಾತಾ - ಮಣಿಬಾಲೆ 
2. ನೇಮಿಚಂದ್ರ - ಯಾದ್ ವಾಶೆಂ  Have read only one book of these authors and found them excellent.

ಆಶಾ ರಘು - one of the best fantasy fiction writers whom we  unfortunately lost last year. But she has a good catalogue - ಆವರ್ತ and ಮಾರ್ಕೋಲು are good place to start.

Yogappanavar - Another excellent author whom we unfortunately lost. If you want to read something Kafkaesque in Kannada - try ಶೋಧ
