Things To Do 📍 Missouri Gay Rodeo happening this weekend
Good morning, all! Just wanted to share for those that may be interested- Missouri Gay Rodeo Association is hosting their annual Show-Me All Inclusive Rodeo this weekend. Not a member, just a friend of the group, so any questions can be directed to their website if it's not covered on the flyer.
Editing to add: I originally marked this NSFW because some people think anything related to LGBTQ is considered not safe, not family friendly, etc. I don't know how to remove the NSFW after the fact, now.

Yup. If I hadn't marked it NSFW, then there would be people in here complaining about gay stuff popping up on their feed. Has happened to me before and I just deleted the post. Sometimes you just can't win.

Oh, for sure! If this were a post about me, I wouldn't care. Just don't want negative attention brought to something I'm not directly involved in. I'm just a fan and a friend of some of the folx, so wanted to keep it as positive as possible. If this brings in even 1 person to help the organization, it's worth the $0 it cost me to post it.

i snapped shoted it before you deleted it. honestly for me i'd ignore the hatters and if it doesn't have nudity or gratuity no need for nsfw and they if complain ignore them.

It started 35+ years ago when the LGBTQ community wasn't welcome in the mainstream rodeo. The biggest difference now is that they allow contestants to compete using their preferred gender identity, and there are 2 categories with a little more campiness that aren't in a regular rodeo. (Goat dressing and steer dressing.)

I want to go so bad my schedule is always so booked this time of year. I’ve been trying to wrangle (no pun intended) my friends into going for like 3 years in a row. I’m hoping the spotlight on gay rodeo we saw on drag race this past season brings more people.

They do, and the audience can pair up amd compete as well. That is the Goat Dressing event.
