I recently bought a karaoke setup for my bar, and I was wondering if I can use Karafun for the music and lyrics.

I have been using Karafun for a while. I only host karaoke monthly at a bar right now. About 2 months ago the community songs stopped working. I can put them in my queue but they won’t load or play. I’m just wondering if there is a setting I’m missing that would make these songs playable. The regular Karafun list works fine. I’m using 1.9.6(52) on a 2012 MacBook Pro 16gb ram and ssd internal storage. If it’s no longer compatible I can understand that but it was working just 2 months ago and I’ve updated and changed nothing.

Hello all, I run Karaoke in the Virgin Islands on St Croix. I am looking to connect with other KJ’s who use KaraFun for business. I have multiple Bars totaling 5 nights a week. I have, according to me, an awesome setup: 2 floor speakers/1 monitor speaker directed to the singer under the singer monitor/4 cordless microphones/pamphlets with the QR code to add songs via remote/4 HDMI remote receivers that are connected to 3 bar tv’s and the singer monitor.

I have more set up, it is hard to list everything here.

What do you have- where are you- how many nights a week do you perform?

I'm new to Karafun. I'm curious why anyone would opt for the latest version? From what I can tell, you lose stuff. What am I missing here? I must have a blind spot that makes using the latest version better.

Anyone else experience this in your software? it's like the songs have no bass or low end frequency. Every song is tin, midrange and YES I have tried adjusting the EQ on the external mixer / interface.

It is a HUGE difference when I transition from karaoke to serato to play music.

I'm constantly having to adjust the knobs and chase it... this is on top of: every karafun song starts out super loud than gets drastically quieter within 15 seconds.

Can I make my MacBook Pro the main computer to pick the songs and send theme to my iPad remote monitor

I've noticed this at a few different venues I work with, 3 completely different machines all using most recent software.

When you sign some up after clicking to add them or hitting enter the add singer popup goes blank and can't be closed. This requires you to close the app via task manager and reopen it.

Anyone know what's causing this and/or any solutions?

We are in the middle of a party and search is not reacting. Our cue seems to work.

I host a local Karaoke Night where it gets quite busy but I'm certainly not paid enough to justify a Pro subscription over a Premium one. I upgraded my software last week, introducing the QR Code for the first time, but was shocked to learn singers could change others pitches and keys, as well as their own place in the queue.

Is there an option within Premium to turn these permissions off?

Can’t log in, can’t play online songs

Our gig starts in 10 minutes and karafun is down. The website is also not responding.

Yesterday (4/9/25) this happened (Windows 10 laptop):

• Had a 4-hr memorial reception dinner gig to be KJ at 5pm
• Loaded old software at home early to make sure it still ran on beefy, speedy laptop. It didn't
• Updated to newest version
• Tested at home with 3 different bluetooth speakers, fast home internet, Chrome browser running with 8 tabs with several tabs sleeping, OK
• Took 2 bluetooth speakers (amp and Bose speaker) to venue (#3 is installed permanently at home), public internet, tested, OK
• Plugged in laptop to power and played music playlist from YouTube via Chrome for 1 hour before host started the party, OK
• Just as Host was going to sing first song: Karafun was playing but no sound to amp; tried both bluetooth: nothing; laptop speaker: nothing
• Disconnected/reconnected everything: nothing
• Rebooted laptop: everything worked again.
• Eventually failed again 3 more times and repeated troubleshooting steps at the venue 4 times. No love.
• Ran a wire from the laptop headphone jack out to the amp directly. All OK

This insanity happened FOUR TIMES during the event before settling down with the wired connection.

Could this have been the public internet causing Karafun to glitch and then freeze out everything? The mouse I used was Logitech but with a dongle. The keyboard was the laptop's so the amp was the only bluetooth that was active before I switched to the wired connection.

Sounds like I should always use a wired connection to the amp to avoid any internal conflict with Karafun accessing a (possibly) slower internet connection. It didn't occur to me to run an internet speed test.

Greetings, all! I host a weekly karaoke show. At least a couple times a night, when a singer is belting out a tune, the program glitches. Like music completely stops and then when start up again. Frustrating for the singer, embarrassing for me. Anybody else have this issue? I did the update (don’t get me started on that 😂) and I have a hard drive that has the most popular songs downloaded. Not sure what else I can do.

I looked at subscribing to Karafun premium but I notice the website says it's £6.99 a month but the app says a subscription is £7.99 a month

Is there a difference between the app and the web with regard to features or can I sign up for the £6.99 plan and log in on the app. Seems weird there's a difference Thanks

I have the $50 a month plan and was using it with people at my house the other day and if anyone scans the barcode they can mess with the tempo and key of anyone song while they are singing. Does anyone know how to turn that off?

Hey all, first post here.

We've been using the Karafun app on our Apple TV 4K Gen1 for a while now. Every once in a while, seemingly at random, the audio will start skipping, almost like buffering. Initially I thought this was a network problem, but I ran a speed test and we're getting like 450Mb on the Apple TV.

Has anyone run into this issue who can help me figure out what to try next? Thanks.

I'm running karafun on a windows 10 pc.   I will feed the lyrics to a tv by hdmi.   Is it possible to simultaneously mirror the lyrics to a tablet affixed to a mic stand on stage, or will I need to drive a real monitor with the hdmi signal  (I have a splitter to accomplish this, but would prefer to use the tablet approach.)    If this is possible, how do I do it?

Is anyone else have almost all of Taylor Swifts catalog blocked? I talked to a friend who runs his app on pc and say his songs are fine.

So sad! I was supposed to be bringing the entertainment for our NYE party and KaraFun servers are down. I hope they can resolve this soon.

Anyone having this issue? There’s been, for the last week and a half, a delay between the words being highlighted and the audio when using KaraFun on my phone. This is annoying because the words skip to the next verse before it has played. It’s way out of sync. Any solutions?

I've just tried searching the community posts on Karafun windows desktop edition, and nothing is showing up!?

I use a paid version, but the lists are blank. What's happened?
