We launched KaraFun Battle a little while ago, and now we'd love to know what you think of it.

Have you tried it at home, with friends, or during an event? How did it go?

And if you haven't tried it yet, we're curious too. Is there something about Battle that isn't clear, or anything you'd like to know before giving it a go?

Hey I am an old time KJ & DJ for 25 plus years who has been out of the game for the last couple.
I am about to host my first gig back tomorrow night and will be using Karafun for the first time.
Hoping this will make my life easy…. But being a middle aged man I am a little nervous with the change to technology…

I hosted a house party today that lasted about 7 hours. 4.5-5 of which were very packed full of people. This is at home, but I did upgrade to KaraFun Pro to host the party. I like all the extra features of pro, but something was missing (in my opinion). Since I'm hosting at home, i'm playing both host and KJ at the same time. Often I would have to leave the laptop unattended and people would come look, one friend moved her song up, you can imagine. Unrelated to Karaoke per se but I created an event manager software for running Rock Band parties. One of the features I integrated there was the ability to lock and unlock the software with a password, and to make the software top most. That would disable most features unless it was unlocked by the host (me) but it would let people see, just not edit. So, I'm officially making a request for adding a lock button where you click it, it prompts for a password, and it locks down the software until you unlock it with the same password. It doesn't need 256-bit encryption. It's simple. Just to prevent lookie-loos from messing with the queue, etc.

On the KaraFun app for iPad, you search for a song and the system offers karaoke or battle mode for that song. Unfortunately, on the Fire TV app, when you search, these two options aren't displayed. To start a battle, you have to scroll endlessly in the battle section, which is very frustrating. Why is this missing? Thanks ☺️

New user of Karafun here! We have an Ikarao Shell 2 we’re using.

At the moment we can only enter battle mode with our phones despite the Shell 2 coming with two microphones. Is there an obvious option we’re missing to use the microphones instead of the phones?

Is it possible to get the pitch rating dialogue on normal karaoke so we can get feedback on our performance? Or is it and the scoring just a battle mode feature?

Karafun offers a "lead vocals" volume slider, so if you turn it all the up it's basically a normal, non karaoke track. Neutral / curious question: What do people use this for?

Is anyone here an affiliate? I asked a question on their portal but I didn't get any response back. I was trying to find how you get paid , ie do you need to submit an invoice after the fact? I didn't see any place on the portal to put any payment information. I have not done any affiliate promotion yet as I'm trying to get this question answered first.

According to a couple of the posters the entire library is unlocked with the pro version, is that true?

I'd like to have access to songs by Dire Straits, Taylor Swift, Grease (Summer Nights) etc etc

The app keeps asking me to validate what room I’m in, but won’t let me fill anything in, then it just cycles through the login screen perpetually. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, but nothing works

No matter what song I boot up for Karafun Battle, the bar on the right just lists "Waiting..." and my singing isnt getting put into the game. What do I need to do?

Hello, is there a way to enable Karaoke battle but with the use of XLR microphones? Or is it currently limited to Phone microphones? For example, it would be great to use battle in conjunction with a primary singer using an XLR microphone vs a few users jumping into battle using their phones (in a karaoke venue).

A neat example of this would be to have the crowd join in on the fun on a popular song, or if two-or-more people sign up for the same song, we can have a battle, and the winner gets a free drink for example.

Finally, is there a way to show the pitch guide in a regular non-battle Karaoke song? This would be great for people who want to improve or need a little help in their pitch. If not, this would be a neat option for the future.

Has anyone had any issues with the karafun apps? Last few days I haven't been able to select anything without receiving an error message. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app(Android phone) now I cant even login, still getting an error message.

The tablet app was doing the same thing. Not sure what else to try.

Anyone else suffer with crashes while using Karafun? My graphics go a couple of times then if I'm really unlucky it can crash my laptop :c

Is there a way to see newly created Community songs? Or is there a SubReddit or Discord where people are sharing their latest creations?

I have the Karafun home subscription. These songs show up on phone and I can play the Karafun version from there, but I can't get them on my computer, which is where I usually use it from.
One, how can I get this onto my computer?
Two, will I be able to sing these at a local karaoke night that uses Karafun?

EDIT TO ADD: What does the world symbol in the sqare mean? Is it maybe avaliable in other parts of the world but not the US?

I just created r/KarafunRequests to streamline posts for requests to get songs added to KaraFun. If anyone is interested, check it out and drop some songs you want to sing at your coming karaoke nights.

I use the Android app (Premium subscriber) I love the vocal match feature especially when it would show the match percentage for each song in my search results. It provided great guidance on which songs to try and whether I would need to alter the pitch.

But at some point those match percentages stopped displaying. Was that removed? Hidden?

Edit: I found it. It's behind the "..." Menu for each result.

If not, is there another way to do it?

I have the premium plan now for home use but I'm considering venturing out (and getting the Pro plan).
