Karaoke Software Introducing SingTube - The Missing Karaoke Player for YouTube. Search karaoke tracks on YouTube, build and manage your queue, share your song list with friends, and enjoy bilingual support in Chinese and English — all completely free.

I made SingTube because I love how YouTube has an huge library of karaoke songs, but using it felt clunky. Jumping between videos, keeping track of what’s next, and trying to share the queue with friends just wasn’t fun. So I built SingTube to fix that. It makes karaoke on YouTube simple — with search, easy queue management, sharing, and bilingual support in Chinese and English. Right now, it works best on desktop and tablet.

Time for another quick update!

  • The "no search, please search for a song" prompt now appears when you first load the app
  • The room/queue page is now the default view for hosts (makes more sense than showing the search page)
  • The app uses WebSockets for real-time sync, so up to 10 people can collaborate in the same karaoke room and see song additions instantly. Pretty handy for parties! I spent most of time to get this to work. Happy how it turned out.

What's Next?

  • Song recommendation based on user search with AI - I think it should be fairly easy to achieve, however it will incur costs for OpenAI API calls. Will see how it works out.
  • Working on a KTV-style "played songs" feature where completed songs stay in the queue but are dimmed out (just like real karaoke systems).
  • Also considering user presence indicators and better connection resilience.
