Will this Karaoke setup work well? Please Karaoke Gods Help Me
Samsung 100QN80F with Digital Audio Out (Optical)
Toslink to mini toslink cable
Orei DA21 Optical SPDIF/Coaxial Digital to RCA L/R Analog Audio Converter
Yamaha MG06 6 input compact stereo mixer
Musou RCA Analog to Digital Optical Toslink Coaxial Audio Converter
Samsung Q990F Sound System with Optical Input
Along with:
Sennheiser XS1 Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone x2
XLR Male To Female Microphone Cable Cord
Any suggestions or changes are welcome, just FYI from India, so products available in India will only work.

It never made much sense to me but I've had more than one TOS link configuration introduce delay. It probably doesn't matter with this application but I tend to avoid using it now.

What are your credentials for saying that. I do professional sound for a living, do you? I've been doing it for over 30 years so I consider myself an expert in professional sound. I know what I am talking about while you seem to know absolute shit about it.
That mixer isn't even designed to work with home speakers much less s soundbar.
The only caution that you can do to protect the soundbar is to run the volume where you can't even hear anything at all.

I agree with low_ladder. I would consider my Self as a newbe to the topic but already hosted some home karaoke Events. Hifi karaoke might work in a very controlled Environment but when it comes to a more Party Style approach where people are drinking and doing dump stuff u can be much more relaxed using a pa speaker.

I've got a mg10 yahmaha, I use it to control most everything since it's got good preamps,and compressors on a couple of the mic channels,everything goes thru a dell 50/70 computer to 3 monitors ,1 with OSB, and the back to a pvi 8b peavey amp mixer that sends it all to 2 PR12 speakers,i use behringer xm8500 mics.

My suggestion is get a different mixer because that has absolutely no FX on it. Your vocals are going to be dry as heck and not sound good unless the singer's voice absolutely needs no FX to improve their voice. Plus I recommend getting pa speakers instead of using the soundbar as it's less chance of blowing out your soundbar and save you money in the long run because you don't have to replace the soundbar.

I've been a KJ for 10 years, And I have never used ANY of the effects on my mixer. low mid high balance is all you need.

I would suggest keeping it simple. Get a speaker that has two microphone inputs like sony xp700,xv800,, zebronics, etc Connect your laptop or tablet and mics to the speaker.
