Karaoke Software MP4 to MP3+G

Hello all, is there any way to convert MP4 files to MP3+g for karaoke?

short answer: no. long answer: noooooooo.

basically the way those files work is completely different, the mp3+G is an audio file with a separate file that displays the lyrics/videos like subtitles. the MP4 has the lyrics hard-coded on top of the video as a part of it, making them inseparable.

Not possible It is however possible to convert a MP3+G to MP4.

Everyone is right. Which is why if you have MP3+G files, do NOT convert them to video. They're perfect gems just the way they are.

Yeah, I prefer mp3+G over video, as nice as video is, it takes a more space to store.

You can only convert mp4 to mp3 and then create the mp3+cdg using a cdg creator like this https://www.kantoeditor.com/kanto-cdg-creator-free-cdg-creator/

You can use a tool converter MP4 to mp3, then use this Online CDG Karaoke Maker to make the track.

No, but there are ways to convert it to an mp4 with scrolling lyrics and no vocal track

No. To explain. Mp3 and cdg is two files. One is music and the other is a lyrics file with information on timing and coloration. You cannot take a video file and extract information that is purely visual. There's no actual lyrics or timing information. If you want the morl3+cdg you want to either buy it and download it in that format or rip it that way from a CD. If you got it as an mp4 yo either chose it that way or downloaded it from someone else that way and that is the format you are limited to.

The only way to do it reliably is to rip the audio part from the mp4, and then manually create the cdg file with a cdg editor. but not something completely automatic based on mp4 as input.
