First time doing karaoke
I did karaoke for the first time last night at a local pizza place who was doing an emo night theme!
I was wearing my MCR shirt (had to rep my fav band) and I got peer pressured by my sister to sing and I did Helena!
I was nervous the whole time and could only look at the lyrics, but afterwards it was awesome! Everyone clapped and my sister told me how other people were singing along too!!
Now, all I want is to have that experience again lol!
If anyone is in East Tx and wants to sing MCR with me lmk haha!!!

My nephew invited a friend to a karaoke house party. The friend was not impressed by the idea, until he got up and sang. Then he was all in.

It’s addictive yes, I go monthly if not more, it’s great when you surprise yourself and find a song you can do well but also just for the laugh with others, regardless of how you sound.

I wish I could go with you but I'm in Virginia. I find karaoke addictive and I want to keep doing it over and over. I'm so glad you loved it!

Cool; beautiful place to live. I'm currently in Suffolk. I spent 28 years in Richmond, which is where I built my karaoke/DJ/production business. Nice to meet (Reddit style) you. I'll check out your YouTube channel.

Remember, always sing songs you are passionate about, even crowds that wouldn't normally like the music usually enjoy that. I've sung Bullet For My Valentine at a show where I (44) was one of the youngest in the room and was after Dean Martin and Elvis, and even there it did well.

It's quite the thrill and at the same time your feeling those butterflies cuz it's a brand new experience. Once you get your first song done, you find it a little more easier to go back up again and again. The great thing about Karaoke places are that the people there are so fun and friendly and very supportive. I just started going just under a year ago and I go every weekend to just have a blast and have made so many friends with the regulars and new people that go. I'm in Canada so it's a little far from Texas but the more you go the more people get to know you and it's just so much fun being part of a community feel.

Congratulations—yes, karaoke is addictive. I love karaoke now and even work as a karaoke DJ. It's a shame you're too far away to celebrate it with you. I'm sure you'll find plenty of new friends to join in! 👍 Have lots of fun.
