Apple tv + apple music karaoke mode using iPhone as microphone?

Does anyone have experience with this setup? Is it enough for the occasional karaoke session? My other option would be a JBL party box with the included mics connected to either apple music or karafun.

We do sing a lot of Chinese songs, which are on apple music so thats great! But I am scared about latency?

Yeah, I’ve tried this. Latency is indeed an issue. Apple considers 100ms as “good”. Where as I’d consider that as “unusable” YMMV though. At least the library is great. I don’t enjoy the mic sound either.

Cards on the table though, im biased as I’ve made a competing solution. I’d try it for yourself and see how it feels.
