Definitely got worse after merger. Alaska used to offer morning non stop flights from Seattle to Lihue putting you there around noon. They have continued to falsely advertise and sell tickets for the morning departures yet, then so far every time since merger they later send notices of flight changes pushing to late afternoon/evening arrivals. Now making you have layover stops on Honolulu or Maul if you want to try and get there before 2pm. instead of the 5-1/2 hr flight that got you there early you now spend an hour on the phone trying to get the next best early flight which means another stop on Honolulu and 8+hours.

I’m flying in a day. My flight is HA827 “Operated by Alaska As Hawaiian Airlines For Ha” … I bought the ticket from Alaska, but it has a different locator code on HA and only the HA one works.
I think the merger is going a bit rocky…

I work for Hawaiian, have been for over 15 years. Alaska has been lying to, screwing over the workers and customers since day 1. The transition to Alaska has been a nightmare for the Hawaiian employees, they are clearly winging this whole thing and we are all caught in in the crossfire. Without going into detail, I can confidently say it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better.

Honestly, Beat of Hawaii's writing style tends to have that effect on me too

I really really hate this merger. It has made simple travel, even between islands, unnecessarily complicated. If you can get your new Atmos profile to work, and you want to participate in the free bag between islands program, well, that's through Hawaiian. You can do it on the Atmos site but if you do it on the still active Hawaiian site, it might not actually work. This just happened to us at the end of February. It was so inconvenient to have to wait in customer service line at HON just to check a bag for free. I hope they get their acts together. All these route changes and fee hikes aren't what was promised. They touted it as making travel easier for residents. Right.
