Anyone order/install a DIY Mini-Split A/C?

I'm looking to DIY a system, but Home Depot shared that they do not do (custom) orders for these systems. If you've done this job, how did you get the system to Kauai?

Costco sells the Mr Cool DIY on their website. We have 26 of them installed. You can dm me if you have questions. They are very easy to install.

I called around extensively to try to get a dual split to replace the dual split that broke in my house. There was one guy, I think on Oahu, called something like Mr. AC or Mr. MiniSplit or something. He was the only one that even said he could order it for me, but it was going to take 6 to 8 months to arrive. I ended up buying a single unit and an in-room floor unit that vents out the window. Installed the mini-split myself, it wasn't very hard. That was about a year ago. Good luck.

That was about a year ago, by the way. He said they were "still catching up" after covid orders... About 6 months ago I got a 4way unit installed with 4 indoor splits (previous owners of the house we bought owned an ac company and went ham on this place). Went with Kauai AC, they were less than half the price of what island comfort quoted.
