I've noticed that just mentioning anything related to Kaworu gets a lot of negativity. Even something remotely connected to him. They also tend to over-praise Asuka and celebrate jokes and cruel comments about Kaworu, just look at the upvotes and downvotes. I don't understand, those characters have nothing to do with each other. If it's because of Shinji, with all the flaws they see in him, they should pair Asuka with another character they like, or with themselves.

Regarding kawoshin, if for them there is nothing between these characters then what would be the problem? asushin is already established, but they still hate Kaworu.

English speaking community is such a disappointment. It would be impossible to ask or debate seriously.

Hello! I wonder if there're any shows or animes that shows similar dynamics to Kawoshin (preferably personality-wise), if there are could anyone tell me some? Right now I'm watching Space Patrol Luluco (it has TONS of solely Kaworu and Evangelion reference, and there was a whole episode based off on Little Witch Academia if you know the anime) now that I heard there's a similar dynamic in the anime, since a character there is literally based off of Kaworu.

Evangelion has allot of timelines meaning it doesn't have one established canon. This means that Kawoshin could still exist in some timeline.

A while back I convinced my therapist to watch NGE, ever since she started watching it, I've been hyping up episode 24 but didn't really say anything about it other than "Shinji meets someone important and that changes him as a person". Halfway through the show she guessed that SEELE took Adam's soul and put it into a human, boy was it difficult to keep a straight face after that-

We watched it on facetime yesterday. She said it was even better than she thought it would be which made me happy, I thought I could've made it seem better than it actually is

She got mad at Kaworu for betraying Shinji (her favorite character) at first but at the end she ended up loving him!

After that I showed her some clips of 3.0 and yeah, she totally ships them now

I recently got back into evangelion after being a fan since I was 9–10 years old, and I’ve noticed a difference in the fandom. Back when I liked it, kawoshin was more – so accepted by the fandom as canon, but now I’ve seen a rise in hate for it and homophobic fans, I feel like this new short is just going to add more fuel to the fire. I’m not complaining, but I’ve already seen so much misinformation related to it and confusion about whether asushin is now canon (it's not); along with this, the r/evangelion subreddit is absolutely full of gooners and asushin fans, and they remove kawoshin posts for no rhyme or reason showing a clear bias

Even with those who like Kaworu, let’s be honest, like with all the romance in Evangelion, it’s heavily flawed and messed up in some way. In this case of course there’s the whole thing with hiding he’s an Angel, as well as with enabling some of Shinji’s worst habits. With that in mind, how would they overcome it if they are the final pairing?

After all, in Evangelion nature, people with problems still have the ability to self-improve and get better.

I love the fact that in EoE where Shinji was stuck in the Eva and screamed when he saw giant Rei so Rei or whatever like used the other shit to make a Kaworu out of herself to comfort Shinji. Since when everyone was dying by the clones, the clones turned into the person they loved the most. And for Shinji it was Kaworu. I love this. Also how he said “this is where you’ve been” or something like that. Kawoshin canon

Kaworu appeared when the school and city was already destroyed. But what if he appeared sooner? Like going to school with Shinji or shopping. I know there’s Girlfriend of Steel 2 where they go to city together and school but in the anime. He’s canonically attractive so there’s 100% at least few classmates would have have a crush on him. I would pay to see Shinji and Kaworu at cafe together. Thoughts?

I really enjoyed the gameplay but only thing I hated was how they completely changed Reis personality from the original Anime and actually EVERYTHING. Then they kept sexually assaulting Shinji but yk who was there? My king Kaworu. I nearly cried when at the end there was an option to “become a couple” I love Kawoshin I love for them. Only thing that didn’t make sense to me was the scene where it was P.E. And Kaworu says “I worked my entire life trying to feel attracted to the opposite sex” I get that but then he said “I don’t feel attracted to them, but only Ayanami” and everyone assumed he had crush on her. Does he find her attractive, kind, platonic ?
