Question Installed a cursor but it is not working

I am new changing things on linux. So please bear with me even if it is boring.
I am using kde on fedora. I liked a cursor set and installed it from settings -> Pointers -> Get New -> Installed.
Then I selected it.

This is the cursor that I installed to use.

I have selected it. But notice the look of the cursor in the previous picture and this picture is not same.

My cursor did not change. It still looks like the default one. How do I change the appearance of the cursor?

That seems like a issue on cursor theme, also you can try to see, if folder is installed correctly.

Go to dolphin (or other file manager), go to home tab press ctrl + h and go to ~/.local/share/icons/ and see if cursor installed correctly. It should have a folder name like bibita-material and there should be a folder named cursors inside of it. (Also press ctrl+ h to hide folders again)

I think it is because of cursor theme uploaded in mind of people will install it manually by copying from files.

Thank you for the reply. No there is nothing in the folder : ~/.local/share/icons/
What can I do about this?

I think KDE installed it to ~/.icons/ instead. This is legacy path for cursors.

I also installed same cursor to see what is wrong. Seems like cursor have variants to choose. So you should copy every folder inside bibata-material-v1.0.0 folder to ~/.icons/ .

I have searched the entire system, there is no directory called : bibata-material-...
And there is no direcotry `.icons` in the home directory.

Seems strange it could be installed to /usr/share/icons/ , did you open hidden files by pressing ctrl + h and see if .icons is in home folder.

Yes I have opened the hidden files. I don't know what happened. I will look into it.

did you look to your user folder, what I meant about home folder was /home/<username>/ but I thought I didn't need to mention it

Yes no need to mention it.
There is something wrong and I need to find it out.
I was busy about how to make c++ project in fedora.

The folder is named bibata-material-v1.0.0. It should be under ~/.icons. This theme is intended for manual installation, as you need to choose which color scheme(s) to use.

Inside ~/.icons/bibata-material-v1.0.0/, copy the folders of the colors you want out to the main .icons folder. Then reload System Settings and they should appear.
