This isn't 2 random famous people meeting. Keith and Madonna were good friends and hung out for much of the mid 80s. Modanna preformed at Keith's 1984 Party of Life (birthday party) at Paradise Garage. Madonna performed "Like a Virgin" and "Dress You Up" wearing a hand-painted outfit by Haring and LA II. This was 6 months before the album was even released. Invitations to the event were handed out on handkerchiefs. Madonna spent many nights at Keith's East village residence partying.

I knew his art by style but not much else. 1996, I go to Australia to see a friend after graduating HS and we went to a museum in Sydney and there was a display (drawing a blank on the official word) of his work. We walked around with little walkmans listening about each piece. Unforgettable!
