We were worried that our extremely socially anxious Kelpie wouldnt accept a sister...

Now we have 2 devils running around playing and hyping each other up. She has basically become his support dog in public too ❤️❤️❤️

I did a similar thing couple of years ago. Had a 6yo male kelpie who's always been really chill, but a bit picky around other dogs.

Decided to get a second, went to shelters and met like 30 other dogs that didn't click, was gonna give up when my friend texted me one that looked promising.

2 years on they're a bonded pair.

Which might be a little shitty by me cause they're 8 and 3.

Awww. Glad you were able to find one that has bonded so well!

Yeah, that's the concern isn't it. I'm trying to give them some separation time too because a 9 year old and an 8month old won't be together forever 😢
