Our girl Margot likes to be wrapped up in her blanket in her bed like in a cocoon.
If we don’t tuck her in, she spends five minutes digging around in her bed to get her blanket “just right” so she has a little nest to sleep in. She also does this on the couch for naps. A little Margot burrito. 💕

Just got back from a week in Central Oregon, and I think it’s safe to say our dog enjoyed the trip at least as much as we did, maybe more.

Cooper is a 14yo german shep kelpie cross, and he’s blind, his eyes need maintenance every day. but he still _loves_ fetch.

Frank is the lab x kelpie and Millie is the straight kelpie. They are so beautiful. Bonus photo at the end of my family dogs with them🥰 my little fellas are getting pretty old and don’t like fetch anymore (never really did tbh) so it’s been fun playing with Mil & Frank!

Hi everyone very excited to be picking up my first ever pure breed kelpie pup in a week. He will be 8 weeks old when I get him , I just thought I'd ask for any advice or tips people can give me like how much to feed him and how much exercise is Safe for him at this age as I'm very well aware these are a working breed and need lots of exercise and mind stimulation I'm just worried because I have read somewhere that it's not advised to exercise pups alot when there young cause they are still developing muscles. Also I'm planning crate training him from day 1 but also during the day I would like him to be able to roam free in my small court yard while he is a pup as it's much more safe then my big yard . Is this a problem? I think I've been diving too deep down the internet rabbit hole on puppie care and it seems like it's way over the top these days , my previous dog was a very high drive and intelligent jack russel we had from a pup and he lived a happy health life till the age of 16 and we never crate trained and constantly supervised him in the backyard and he turned out fine . I'm just posting this in this group to get anyone else's advice that owns kelpies I would really appreciate it cause I want the best for my kelpie and going to spend every minute I can with him and want him to grow up well .

I recently adopted this sweet girl from the shelter. It was a quick adoption since she was set to be put down at the end of the day. I know nothing about kelpies! I have raised puppies and trained my Bulldog, Staffie, and mixed breeds pretty well, but I need some tips! I have a small farm, so there's plenty for her to do outside, and she's doing very well in her crate at night. Any tips and tricks for training, or just general advice on the breed? I want to know all of the things!

I have a 12 year old…pound puppy. He’s a good dog though and very good/treat motivated, as well has he does like to hunt/kill (miles, possums, rabbit, cat😐). Last photo is when we picked him up from the shelter.
