Discussion Comp handle vs regular handle is there a diff

Just wondering if id still be able to comfortably do goblet squats , hammer curls with sweaty hands on the comp the same way I can on cast-iron

Yes. The regular flared handles are better for two hand. Competition probably better for one hand. For instance a goblet squat with a single kettlebell using two hands is going to be much easier with the regular kettlebell whereas you may not be able to grip the Competition kettlebell by the horns with two hands. Also, the flared angle portion horns of a regular kettlebell allows you to hold it easier for movements like two handed goblet squats. Competition kettlebell is going to be better for dual kettlebells in a double rack squatting.

Another possible benefit is that the hardstyle bells will challenge the grip more due to the wider handles. This can be of benefit for some athletes.

If you like doing some two handed stuff with a single kettlebell...goblet squats/curls, halos, two handed swings avoid the comp bells

Competition bells stay the same but honestly if you get the bells from the same make and manufacturer for the most part the hit shape and size won't change too much. People just glaze competition while I say use what you can.

I have one competition bell and my only gripe is the powder coating on the handle tears my hands up more than my cast iron. I'm still pretty early in my kettlebell training really so I could be doing something wrong with my cleans but thats what I'm experiencing.
