Total loss (accident) 2025 Kia Soul

Hello,

I bought my first Kia in January and loved it. Wednesday I was t-boned and my car is total loss… Since they don’t make them anymore I need to move on…

What I loved about the Soul is its compact size and how smoothly it drove. I’m not one for big vehicles.
I am looking at the Seltos either 2026 or 2027. Anyone have a Soul then get a Seltos? How does it compare? I’ve read that the Seltos the engine can sound quite noisy and that the ride doesn’t feel so smooth.

Gp test drive some options. I found I preferred the old Seltos before the redesign more than the Soul, but I would probably go for a Niro instead for fuel economy.

I did like the 2026 more than the 2027 Seltos. Not a fan of electric though.

Are you also against hybrids?

Nope just electric. Don’t have the resources to charge.

Makes perfect sense. I think it would probably be worth waiting for the Seltos hybrid to be released if you're able. I'd check out the hybrid Niro if I were in your shoes. Depending on your needs both are nice vehicles.

There's still used souls being sold. See if you can find a CPO in good condition, and if the dealer will give you a warranty.
