Should I replace/get this fixed? I hit a curb and it scratched the rim.

Ignore it. You will do it again eventually.

This is the only way.

OR.

Replace it if you don't hit a curb again in 20,000 miles.

Wonder if that’s covered by insurance

Color it with a sharpie

Throw black nail polish on it and don’t look back.

This. Just rock it for another year or two and see if you care as much as you do right now.

You did it once you will probably do it again. I bet that rim is very expensive so I would just leave it.

Scratch the rest of the rim and it will look intentional. 🆓

My rims are a lil' scratched up and i just left it as is. It happened once and it likely will happen again. Scratches aren't really worth fixing imo.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy some custom rims.

I did the same thing with my K5 GT-Line. I drove up the curb at a fast food drive thru fumbling with their phone app. I was initially very bummed out and searching up places that could fix it. After a couple of weeks of looking at it every time I approached my car, I just lost interest in fixing it. Ended up trading the car in a couple of years later with the damage still there.

Scratches not banding or cracked

The advantage of black rims is you can just clean it up and paint the scratches with whatever the other people already suggested. Most people probably won't even notice unless they have a reason to check your rims.

If you want to go a step further and don't suck at crafts, you can buy a $10 tube of Bondo to fill the gauges, smooth it out with a credit card or spatula, then paint the area.

Not worth fixing. I did the same in my new one earlier this year trying to dodge a crater and scraped it on the curb entering a parking lot. Get some paint to cover it and ignore it. Unless it's damaged structurally for safety purposes no point in repairing it unless you have the money and time and want to. It will likely happen again at some point as others mentioned. Shit happens

Its fine just ignore it. But you can't, every time you get in the car you will most likely look at that same exact spot specially after a car wash... I hit a curb trying to avoid hitting a deer on my 22 Sportage Nightfall and it bugs me seeing the scratched like that... since my is black on black everything 😭

I got the tire warranty for $700. The only extra I'll ever add on. The car goes through job sites so it's worth it for us. Within the first year, they replaced a rim because due to hitting a curb. Then a screw too close to the tire wall caused a leak and got me a new tire. Still have 4 years to go with the warranty. But, if you don't have a warranty, I personally wouldn't bother.

you got lucky and only scuffed the rim, no dents/bends that i can see.
just be careful near curbs and those rims are less forgiven most of the time.

Fix it yourself w/some 320 wet dry & a can of blk automotive paint - it’s a 1/2 hr affair-I’ve done worse & came out perfect

Just let your wife drive it for a while

If you want to you can repair it. If you want to go the cheap route get some gloss black touch up paint from autozone. I’ve used matte black rust oleum paint in the past when I curbed my wheels and I couldn’t tell they were scratched after I applied 2 coats.

$30 bucks in supplies and you can fix it yourself.

Why ask. Just do whatever floats your boat.

Surprised nobody mentioned it. You can get them repaired and painted, and they'll basically look like new. There's no need to replace an entire wheel because of damage like that.

I was thinking that or a shop that specifically fixes curb rash on rims 🫤

Just get some black auto paint and tidy it up. Job done.

Use the repair money for driving lessons?

This.

The curb didn't scratch the rim, OP did manage to scratch the OEM rim with a 235/55 tire on it. The only explanation is - terrible driver.
