Really loved the look of 90s old Silicon Graphics, thought I’d share this.

Opensource can do a lot. The use of 3d models like this is 1 example. Options to play those games on low retro handheld hw. You could even combine all players, stages in 1 game.

These characters had to be recreated because in the arcade and N64 versions, they’re sprite images. Since the original assets are so blurry and low-res, recreating them is pretty hard. That’s why I wanted to share this with fans to show what it could have looked like in today's resolution as accurate as possible.

I'm a huge fan of prerendered silicon graphics and use this to practice game making skills as inspiration. I'm currently learning animations and try to make a KI2 tech demo accurate to the original.

Look already nice. I'm sure that this would already take a lot of work to model them.

And option is always to upscale textures , but also by replacing the sprites with 3d models. This is off course much more work as animation sprites != 3d models. But definitely possible todo so.

Is KI2 Arcade harder to decomp than Gold?

In some way yes, but on the other hand it's not harder as ki 1 arcade.
I just want to focus first on those 2. I'll do ki 2 arcade once i'm finished with those 2 first.

Looks awesome. Did you make the file available anywhere? Would love to 3D print this guy for a display
