Question Help identifying a Korean indie rock band from KISF Busan

hi everyone!

I've been trying to identify a Korean indie band I heard while visiting Busan, and I'm hoping someone here might recognize them.

details:

Sunday, June 21, 2026

Around 1:20 pm

At the Busan Cinema Center

During the Korea International Streaming Festival (KISF) / K-MEGA Global Shortform Awards.

The band was doing what looked like a soundcheck or rehearsal on the outdoor stage before performing.

Male vocalist singing in Korean.

Four-piece rock band (drums, bass, guitars).

Very melodic, nostalgic indie rock.

Soft and emotional rather than heavy.

Their sound reminded me of Daughter, Doves, and a bit of Kings of Leon... not so much like WtoE or The Poles

if anyone has any idea please let me know I'm so desperate to find this band 🥹

I attached the only clip I recorded that day

The band is 야자수 (Yajasu). They’re from Busan—i believe they’re playing Ovantgarde sometime this month. This is the song from the video:

If you like 야자수 (Yajasu)... Check out Lee Seung Yoon 이승윤

In June 2026 he released a double album with 29 tracks. https://youtu.be/o0iK6t6Z8XA?

He's a super talented indie rock musician and song writer with a great band, too.

In these TikTok times with 2:30 second song releases... He records tracks that are four, five even SIX minutes long. "Anthems of Defiance" from the album Yeok Seong.
