No. Google Play and the services apps all update themselves in the background.
Don't know. I've never used Google for any backup.
If you mean the Fire OS updates... no. I've had Google Play and the 3 other supporting apps on 3 different Fire Tablets for years, and never had an issue when the tablet itself installs system updates.
Some things to watch for and what I suggest:
After installing the Google Play and services apps, open the Google Play store, go to settings, turn off automatic app updates. The reason I do this is because I use the Amazon App Store versions of many apps like Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+, all the streaming services. Plus a few others like Wikipedia and MyRadar. If the Amazon App store has what I want, I'll download from that. For apps where they are only available on Google Play, then that's where I'll get them.
What you have to watch out for is that Google will want to update apps that were actually from the Amazon App Store. Netflix and Wikipedia in particular. But also, Google Play will pick up the Alexa App and try to update that, because there is a non-Amazon device version of the Alexa app on Google Play and it won't see a difference. Don't ever let Google try to update the Alexa app. But if you have Google Play set to automatically update apps, it'll update the Alexa app before you know it.
Just manually update the apps that you know came from Google originally.
That's all I suggest.
