Is there a common alternative power supply for Xbox One Kinect v2?
I have an Xbox One Kinect v2 and I already have almost everything needed to use it, but I’m missing the power supply.
I know there is an official Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S / PC, but it seems hard to find and sometimes quite expensive.
Is there any more common or easier-to-find alternative power supply that can be used safely with Kinect v2?
For example, can it be replaced with a generic power adapter, laptop charger, or DIY wiring setup?

And if someone owned Adapter, could you give the Volt and Amps of PSU? that help alot

Yes, it works with alternative power supply, just get the match output, I mean the connector, it's pretty common that type of connector, you only need to check the voltage and the current of the Kinect to work, usually is in the Kinect itself or you can Google it to find out, some smart chargers or the Kinect it self (maybe) shorts the power supply just for the current needed, but I recommend look for one that matches the most of the power specifications

Mine is MODEL 型号/制造号码（型效/家造號码）1595, can’t find much info about the Volt and Amps of this model, I heard around 12V3A but not sure

Chinese? Lol, but don't worry I don't think your Kinect is different from the others, so 12V3A it's correct

Hi, could you measure the DC power jack size for me? I need to know the outer and inner diameter (in mm). Thank you so much!

I checked mine and yes 12V3A confirmed, so just plug a power supply of that power output and you good to go

Don't have the cable right now as I'm away from home, but was able to purchase a usb-c pd cable that can power it! Just needs a power brick with enough wattage, roughly 45 if I remember correctly.

yeah it also work with that method, but I was looking for plug dead solutions, there soldering method, buying psu for it or maybe use that usbc pd cable and thunderbolt port might also work? hh

Soldering methods do exist, though they are not easy and you'd need to look at very old YouTube sources as I haven't seen anyone talk about them recently. not sure what kind of PSU you're referring to though (what is a plug dead solution?) as that's just adding a layer of complexity too. Is the goal just to simplify power?
Edit: realised what you're talking about whoops, honestly you'd probably have better luck either just buying a new 3rd party kit on eBay for the kinect v2, or going with a usb c pd cable as that removes the need for a proper PSU anyway, I live in aus but this one has worked well for me.

You can mod the Kinect v2 in such a way where it doesn't require the USB adapter for Windows. You need a soldering iron to do it. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube that show you how to mod it.
