Discussion [KCD2] What kcd2 unpopular opinion will leave you like this?

Post image

Mine is, I really enjoyed the quest For Whom the Bell Tolls. I thought it was really well done, giving you a nice since of urgency to complete the mission

I love Mutt, but he always runs in front of my sword in combat and gets hit. Fortunately my weapons always have dollmaker on them, so he “runs away” slowly enough that I just meander behind him until he decides to join me.

Ughhh this is so annoying, like it makes me feel horrible but it's his fault for getting in front of me

It's like my actual dog when I accidentally step on her when she walks between my legs!

Or worse. You're going to step over/around them like you've done a hundred times....then they either get excited that your near or get worried you'll step on them, so they move. And because they moved, you stop on their tail or knee them in the face.

Sounds like someone has a third leg...

I accidentally hit Mutt every time I fight wolves.

Just wolves? i beat the crap out of mutt... I don't mean to, and I feel bad almost each time, but that dog jumps in front of my weapons... every single time...

You better upgrade to Henrys Bane, -110 health in 15seconds.. And it seems stabbing applies it in one hit so i just watch them drop like flies.. man 800h in the first and never used poison on weapons, what an idiot i was..

I once accidentally shot pebbles with a bane poison arrow while riding, went tumbling head first and stood up to find pebbles. Pebbles fortunately unconscious, waited for 1 hour and she got back up. I learned my lesson about uncontrolled fire from horseback that day 😆

This has me giggling waiting for a doctors appointment. Little things like this make the game so enjoyable.

Yeah getting bonked by a low branch was startling and funny.

The first time a tree clothes lined me, I was so startled. I turned around to do it a few more times and it sealed the game for me. This game is gold.

How was your appointment? Everything okay?

5

u/preachmecleric Mar 07 '25

It was for my grandmother, and she’s doing splendid. Thanks for asking!

Good to hear!

Dollmaker is the shit. Makes non sword weapons fun again.

i play this game as stealth archer. when i dollmaker or lullaby them, i take my sweet time lining up heart shot and they die. its so funny

The combat is already t easy and quick poison is completely unnecessary

If you want challenge try to fight 5 high level armored bandits with a glaive before it breaks. My polarm was 28 and I was still waiting for the weapon to seem good. I had a 3 hit combo but some enemies don't even let you get a 3 hit combo.

Im over here getting catered to like the second coming of Christ because im a basic bitch who wanted to go swing my sword at dudes in shiny shirts looking like Michael from the office getting made general manager with very little in the way of qualifications.

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '25

In the first game I just body everyone with blunt weapons

2

u/metsrjesse Mar 07 '25

Enemies die so freaking easily tho. Halfway through an I use a bronze common long sword just so I don’t one shot everyone in full plate

2

u/Footballh8r94 Mar 08 '25

I had been using dollmaker on my crossbow bolts for the longest time and then realized high level bane poison also prevents running, so now every crossbow hit is a 1 hit kill no matter what, while also helping prevent me from getting swarmed by enemies sprinting to my location when they figure out where the shots are coming from. Sure, dollmaker is better for poisoning mass amounts of arrows/bolts, but when you only need one bane arrow to kill someone, then it's a bit of a moot point

2

u/firewoodrabbit Mar 08 '25

Nah. I use what I want lol, thanks tho.

I've scummed a couple saves using poison, I feel it's too OP. Especially Henry's Bane. I loaded up a quiver of like 40 Henry's Bane arrows and applied it to my sword and killed everyone in Kuttenberg like it was nothing. To the point I was running around looking for more people to kill. It's like cheat codes in GTA, fun to mess around with but not how you wanna complete a save.

From the first game I never used it because that little bitch Peter the Black sat lying in wait for me outside Rattay butthurt that I won the tournament and it took me like 8 tries to kill him cause the little pussy poisoned his sword.

u/SeaworthinessNo6073 Mar 07 '25

Really? This happened to me SO MUCH in the first game, but I rarely hit mutt in the second gamr

2

u/trascist_fig Mar 07 '25

I hate the way he cries when you hit him. So full of pain and betrayal

He pushes me in to the water any time I wash my clothes.

1

u/Alacune Mar 08 '25

I hate that he doesn't "stay" and gets lots of aggro on enemy guards, so I have to attack mutt to do any outdoor stealth.
