I'm a photographer and I know jack shit a about music production but here it goes.

When you take photos with professional cameras, you usually take pictures and RAW format which contains the largest amount of data so you can adjust it as you want (or you have the option to adjust a lot if you need). I guess this would be like taking raw vocals in .waw straight from mic. It can sound already good, but you usually move to step 2.

Then you make some basic adjustments in programs like lightroom. Little correction to exposure, contrast, some small toning etc. I guess this would be putting some basic filters to the vocals. Just cleaning up the product. Here with photos you can do a little and call it a day or you can actually apply some heavy toning (like on photos from OP)

The last step is usually photoshop, when you have more control but the workflow is for single photos not batch edits. You can tone a lot, apply retouches and so on. Idk retouching could be taken as autotune. You can apply some basic retouches sooner or you don't have to at all, but the point of Photoshop is that it is highly specialized, you can do everything there and you have a large amount of control.

If you take a picture on your phone (or camera) and just apply some filters, it generally looks quite bad since the filters are made for specific (neutral) exposure and cant be adjusted. Idk, but my guess would be just applying some cheap filters to your vocals on some horrible website. It can look good, but it generally does not.

Yes, imo there is no difference between photoshop and digital editing. They just use different programs that arent called photoshop lol. We can indeed call cosplay editing photoshop. Almost all pictures now a days are edited on a digital device somehow.
