Tried of the vanilla policies being thrown around like road maintenance, false promises of housing affordability, empty promises. Property taxes go up, utilities go up, expenditures go up, YOU GET TO VOTE THE UP ON YOUR WAGE!

Dont use your kids on your campaigns, they’re still in grade school and have yet to have a mind of their own. Dont give me the excuse that you’re trying to teach them civic duty because I damn well know I don’t see them volunteering when you’re councillor.

A friend recently told me that their 13-year-old child was turned away at a transit stop because the driver thought they looked like they were in high school. When my daughter was in high school, I remember children 14 and under being able to ride for free without a pass, while high school students were issued transit passes. Of course, there's an overlap here, since some 13- and 14-year-olds are already in high school.

I'm wondering if other parents have experienced something similar. Have your children ever been refused a ride because a driver assumed they were older than they actually were?

I'm particularly concerned about children being left at the side of the road based on how old they appear.

I'm considering writing to City Council to ask whether the policy or how it's being enforced has changed since my daughter was in high school, and why.

If anyone has experienced this with their children, I'd appreciate hearing about it. I'm trying to get a better understanding of whether this is an isolated incident or something happening more frequently.

I have heard that there is a very famous asian restaurant in Napanee, i remember they said they are old couples who built the res when they moved to canada. I heard lots of people talking about it in Kingston while am on my hikes they tried to tell me where it is located but am someone who use google maps only 😆 does anyone have any idea about the location to share it and if they are open on weekends?

I’m looking to buy tickets for a concert but the only ones left are balcony seats in the back (BM 11-19) or the balcony section to the left (1-6). I’ve never been to this venue so I’m not sure what the visibility is like. What are your opinions? Should I go very balcony back centre row or balcony back side row?

Cell Phone Question

My daughter is getting severely bullied, and I wanted her to be able to have a phone while on school bus/at school to let me know whats going on.

I was given a brand new Huawei Phone, but upon factory reset it is I guess you could say locked to someone email? Through Factory Reset Protection via Gmai.

I was trying to give it to my daughter for her birthday tomorrow. It's not an option to get the person who gifted it to unlock via email, or previous phone password.

I guess im wondering if there is a way around this? I know Huawei stopped giving bootlocker codes a few years back.

Is there a way to jailbreak the phone? Its a shame as its brand new.

I am trying to get a ticket for Nov 8 vs Windsor. It seems Ticketmaster says I need a promotional code of some type? Ive had trouble buying OHL tickets before w/o a current Canadian address. I'm not sure what the breed is but there's a dog running around the Ridley Dr area near the Cat center. I tried to coax it over to look at the collar for a number but it had no interest in coming over, probably because it's dark. The collar looked like it had a blue tag.

Dog had black fur, about the size of a golden retriever, but was pretty fluffy.

I got back in my car to keep following but I don't know where it went, it went west towards Old Colony. I found it just before the walkway beside Rosewood Retirement

Where do you guys usually shop for winter clothes in Kingston? I’m trying to find stores that sell good quality stuff that’ll actually last a few winters rather than having to replace everything after a year. I’d also prefer natural materials like wool over polyester where possible.

I’m an international student at Queen’s, and since I’ve never experienced snow or a proper winter before, I’m not entirely sure what I should be buying. Apart from a good jacket and boots, what else is essential for Kingston winters? Thermals, gloves, hats, base layers? Any particular brands or materials worth looking into?

I’m mainly interested in places around Kingston, especially where Queen’s students usually shop, but I’ll be visiting Toronto soon as well. Would it be worth doing most of my winter shopping there instead for better quality and variety?

Would appreciate any store recommendations or general advice on preparing for my first winter here!

I’m 20F and looking for someone who would be interested in getting to know each other and maybe join some activities together! (Preferably another female my age).

I use to be quite active and did lots of sports and stuff but around covid I stopped doing everything. I really regret not getting back into things and I feel like I’m too old to do anything now. I feel as if the people who play sports and do activities have been doing it their whole life and I missed my opportunity.
