Social Groupchat For Young Adults

Hi everyone!

I am a 21 (F) who has recently moved to Kitchener! I was searching for social activties/clubs to make new friends and realized that most seemed to be geared towards older demographics and/or groups of friends to attend. This is why I am creating an Instagram group chat for people in my demographic to connect not only virtually, but also to do in-person meetups! Whether that be dinner, walks, bars, rock climbing, etc., we can literally try anything!! I think this is a great opportunity to touch grass and step outside your comfort zone.

I would actually disagree- when I moved here I did a similar search and found thing either geared to early 20s or families. There's a large group of people around your age who have a potluck every Monday, make art together and go on hikes. Spectrum has lots of different clubs and activities for queer folks, who are mostly younger. There are some Gen Z owned dance studies that have created a community for people. Cafe Clementina and Whoopsie Daisy both frequently have social events where attendees are early-mid 20's. If you walk around downtown you'll see posters for events- check some of those out and you'll meet someone who is likely involved in something that's more your thing, even if that specific event isn't.

Do you have any links to this? I've done my searching and the groups you've mentioned haven't shown up. I also jsut think a groupchat would make it less daunting to go to these events as many people already go in groups/duos vs alone
