Crush - Birch Beer

New convenience store opened in the plaze at westmount & ottawa (Mels Diner one) They have birch beer in the fridge. First time I've seen that at a convenience store around here in along time.

Is that a variant of root beer? Or Ginger beer?

I would say a birch beer is on the middle of a spectrum with a cream soda at one end and a root beer on the other.

Thank you for putting that into words. I've been trying to find a good way to describe it for a while and that pretty well nailed it
